JBIMS accepting cmat score

jbims accepting cmat score
Summary
Students can apply for OMS seats (18 seats, 15%) through CMAT feb, CMAT Sept or CET (March) scores. Maharashtra students (HU, OHU) can also apply through CMAT scores for these OMS seats.

Seats fixed per exam
Have heard rumors that there are 6 seats allocated per exam. No it’s not true, There are no fixed seats for students applying for CMAT / CET  scores. You can apply with any exam for those 18 seats.. If there are more toppers 99.9x applying through CMAT than there will be more students joining via CMAT than other exam. So no seats fixing but yes if there are 18 seats shared with 3 exams than probability of converting JBIMS with any one exams is 1/3 ie 6 seats. So theoretically speaking there are only 6 seats for grab through each of these exams.

It’s not mentioned in CMAT website about JBIMS
Before we talk about this lets read the scrap from DTE website (below). It says clearly CMAT scores will be taken for all Mumbai colleges for OMS seats and JBIMS is part of that so obviously CMAT scores will be accepted.

How final ranking will be done after CAP rounds

There is no distribution of seats for CET or CMAT… both will be combined with equal weightage.
Lets assume there are some students who took CET:
Student A 99.98 %ile in CET
Student C 99.97 %ile in CET
Student E 99.96 %ile in CET

And there are some students who took CMAT

Student B 99.93 %ile in CMAT feb
Student D 99.92 %ile in CMAT feb
Student F 99.91 %ile in CMAT feb
Student G 99.95 %ile in CMAT Sept
Student H 99.94 %ile in CMAT Sept

In the final list they will be combined with equal weightage to CMAT and CET..
The final list will be:
Overall Ranking Name %ile Exam
1 Student A 99.98 %ile in CET
2 Student B 99.97 %ile in CMAT feb
3 Student C 99.96 %ile in CET
4 Student D 99.95 %ile in CMAT feb
5 Student E 99.94 %ile in CMAT Sept
6 Student F 99.93 %ile in CMAT feb
7 Student G 99.92 %ile in CMAT Sept
8 Student H 99.91 %ile in CMAT Sept

So your objective is to score 99.9x%ile [150+ in CMAT] in any of the exams CMAT, CAT or CET.

This is valid across all B schools through DTE.
